Rex Allen (1920-1999), well-known as "The Arizona Cowboy," was the last of the silver-screen singing cowboys.

The Rex Allen Arizona Cowboy Museum site not only contains information about Rex Elvie Allen but is also an excellent source of current information on events, sites, lodging, and other communities near Willcox, Arizona.

About the design

The Rex Allen Museum site was a donation from the Valley TeleCom Group board of directors (my current fulltime employer) to the Rex Allen Museum.

I first created a template that would reflect the "Old Western" spirit of the site. I selected a wood texture for the banner and navigation portions of the page with "Brass" trimming. The overall color scheme is easy on the eyes and is controlled by Casading Style Sheets for consistency and in order to make site-wide adjustments easier. The navigation, banner, footer, and link areas are all Sever Side Includes for much of the same reason.

Though Valley TeleCom Group has finished its commitment to the site, evolution of the site continues. The museum keeps the material up-to-date and I have been placed on the museum Board of Directors. I am now in the process on including an online shopping cart so that items from our giftshop can be purchased online. We also hope to soon be able to sell tickets to Rex Allen Days events and other entertainment events online as well.
